Privacy policy

To-Do List & Planner is a task, planning and notes app developed by Avryn. We run no servers, require no account, and do not collect or sell personal data. This page explains what data is handled, where, and by whom.

1. Your data stays on your device

• Tasks, projects, tags, reminders, notes and settings are stored in the app's private storage on your device. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party.
• The app does not have the Internet permission, so it is technically unable to send your data anywhere.
• The app uses no analytics, shows no ads and includes no crash-reporting library that sends data to a server.
• Content you share into the app (a piece of text or a link) is stored only on your device. When you open a link, it opens in your own browser.

2. Permissions

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): to show reminders for tasks you have scheduled. The app asks for it only when you first save a task with a reminder.
• Exact alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): so reminders arrive on the minute. You turn this on in Android settings; without it, reminders still arrive but may be a few minutes late.
• Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): to restore your reminders after the device restarts.

3. Backups

• Android backup: if backup is turned on for your device, Android may include the app's data in the backup stored in your Google account, or transfer it directly to a new device. This is managed by Google and Android; we have no access to it.
• .zip backup file: when you tap "Export a backup", the app writes all of its data to a file in the location you choose. The file is not encrypted, so keep it somewhere safe. The app reads a backup file only when you choose it for a restore.

4. Deleting your data

You can delete individual tasks, notes, projects or tags in the app. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in Android settings removes all of its data from the device. Backups in your Google account follow Google's backup settings; any .zip files you exported are yours to manage.

5. Children

The app is suitable for all ages and does not collect data from anyone, including children.

6. Changes to this policy

If the way the app handles data changes (for example, if sync is added), we will update this page and the effective date above before releasing that version.
